Home no longer has philips hue scenes

A routine I've used for years suddenly doesn't work.

It should turn the TV on and set a philips H it e scene.

Tonight I get one or more devices are not available.

TV turns on but scene is not set in hue.

I can say "activate scene name" and it works.  The account is linked just fine.

Upon checking the automation within home the option to select a scene had gone.

I can select a colour, run a colour loop etc but I want it to activate a scene as it had done for the last x years!

Whats happened  Google?

Hi folks,

We're sorry for the trouble. Our team is already aware of this and we're working on a fix — we'll loop back in once we have an update. Thanks for bearing with us.

Kind regards,

Dan

Same here. I wasted so much time going over the settings and the “six or more things are not available try setting them back up” is super annoying.

Just checked to see if it’s a permission thing.

In Google Home app.
Settings>Services>Works with Google>Click Hue Icon>Check for updates>Grant permission >Click Grant permission for Google to control Hue lights and saved. Unfortunately this did not bring back Hue scenes in Google Home automations. 😤

I don't have that option.  Only unlink or reconnect account...

Same experience here. Long-time user. All of a sudden my home routines with hue scenes are broken.

I even removed all hue devices, reset my hue bridge to factory, disconnected my hue account from google, and started all over on a separate hue account. Still no luck.

Same for me.

I recently connected a new service to google, a smart plug from TP-Link/Kasa. I can't imagine this should have any effect as it's not related to Hue. But it did coincide with my hue scenes breaking, so figure it is worth mentioning

I also run some smart plugs of theirs so don't believe related.  They've done a cracking job of doing us all over with this one.  Thanks Google. Functionality that has worked from day one suddenly is no longer available.  Very annoying when you have many custom commands set up that rely on bring able to set a scene which all now report that a device is not available.

Hello everyone,

Could you try removing and re-adding the Philips Hue scenes via the Google Home app? Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,

Dan

Where do we go that now?  I see no option any more.

OK I see them now but just a huge list of scenes which are not specific to any room so I have 5 "read" scenes as these are default in hue to every room.  It needs to be clear which room the scene applies to.  I have no idea from a huge list of scenes which room it's going to activate in.  Just give us back what we had!  I've already worked around it by using the experimental setting "activate scene name" and deleted my old broken routines as I couldn't stand google home devices telling me something was wrong after every command!

Thank you for following up.

I have unlinked my hue account from Google Home, and then re-linked. I do see all scenes available when making a routine. However, it is still not working correctly.

I added 5 different hue scenes to a single routine. When I trigger the routine, only 2 of the scenes are turned on. There is no overlap of lights with these 5 distinct scenes. Please assist.

Same here since a few days ago. Tried to connect to the Hue services again through the Google Home app, but no luck. What's going on here?

What's going on here is Google sucks.  Alexa seems much better supported and integrated I have to say. All Google want is your data and to control you just like the rest of the big elitist corporations. Not saying Amazon would be any better in that respect.  Trying to get support from these people is like throwing a sausage up an alleyway.
