I have a 1st gen Nest Thermostat. The lock function requires me to enter a temperature range, and anybody physically accessing the thermostat can turn the AC or heat on within that range without using the PIN.
How do I completely restrict the thermostat? I mean, if you don't have the PIN, you should not be able to do anything with it. You shouldn't even be able to turn it on or off. Can this be done, and if so, how?

There isn't a feature or setting that can accomplish this I'm afraid.
The lock feature prevents people from changing settings or changing the temperature outside of the restricted range, it's not designed to do anything but that.
