Issue with Google mini gen 1

I move a few days ago and can’t work out how to change the assigned rooms so I factory reset the 2 Google Minis and ran through the setup .. it fails after it does the update and says to test by say Hey Google .. it tells me the google device is not setup yet and to download the google home app.. on the google home app I say no to the test worked and it says about the update taking longer.. I’ve left the device overnight and no change I’ve factory reset them 4 times now. And I keep getting the same response that are not setup but they show in the google home app. The Nest tool a day but started working. Any idea what is wrong?

Hi Chrisj76,

I know how it feels when something isn’t working the way it should. Let’s further look into it. Are you using a dual-band router? If yes, have you tried connecting your Google Home Mini devices to both bands? What is their distance from the router? Do you have another phone that you can use for the initial setup?
