Not getting camera motion detection nor doorbell notification on my google home app

I have 2 wired doorbell cameras, 2 indoor next cam 1st gen. 1 next cam indoor/outdoor cams. I have been using the Nest app with no problem getting notifications for any motion detection and doorbell notifications. However, I have never gotten any notifications on my google home app. I have the settings turned on, visitor announcement turned on, I have push notifications turned on, my do not disturb is not on, and I had reached out to support and a tech tried to screen mirror troubleshoot it. Nothing works. The Nest app is being retired on 4/8/24. I am not a happy customer. I’ve paid for Next aware for 3 years now. Invested a ton of efforts in installing these hardwares. Now the app for my hardware that actually works is being retired, with the new app not even working properly. The tech had to audacity to tell me that I need to change all of my hardwares to the newer generation. I understand that the 1st generation indoor nest app might not work for notifications on the google home app, but what about the doorbell cameras? The issue is apparently not about my hardware, it’s the god **bleep** google home app. I spent hundreds of dollars on the hardware, but now I’ll potentially have to spent as much to switch all of them to another brand. Not to mention the time I’ll have to spend on changing all of these hardwares. Very disappointing.

The Google Nest app is NOT being retired on April 8, 2024. Rather, Google Nest is discontinuing support for Dropcams and the Nest Secure alarm system and its associated devices:

Under Settings  | Notifications | Google Home on your iPhone, do you have "Allow Notifications", "Time Sensitive Notifications", "Sounds", and "Badges" enabled? If you're still not getting notifications, that is really strange.

Notifications for 1st gen cameras and doorbells still go through the Google Nest app.

I don't know why Google Nest Support told you that you had to change your hardware to 2nd gen hardware. We have numerous 1st gen cameras and doorbells that are still working, and we're not "transferring" any of our 1st gen cameras to the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app because it still lacks many Nest app functions: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features

I am currently not getting notifications since (roughly) the same timeline as you. This is mega fustrating. I have attempted all the basic fixes (make sure notifications are turned on, clear cache, delete/reinstall app, etc). Nothing has worked. Any help here would be greatl apprecaited .

I have a Samsung s24 ultra (if that helps). Weird thing is my wife still receives all notifications on her phone (iPhone). Perhaps a phone issue?

I am also having the same issue with my Google Battery Doorbell and my Google Pixel 8 Pro. It worked for a bit but now doesn't. My mom gets the notification and my Pixel Tablet gets it.

I have cleared the cache and everything else as well.

Hi Byron,

I already tried all of that. It randomly started working the other day for a few days, but then yesterday and today it is back to not working.
