Purchased Home with Google cameras - unable to connect

I just recently purchased a home that has 6 cameras around the house including the doorbell. The previous owner did not deactivate their account/factory reset the cameras on their wifi network before they left. That is the only way a new user can connect to the devices without hard resetting them. The only way to hard reset the cameras is to unplug them for 48 hours, however all the cameras are hard wired through the brick. It's hard to imagine Google can't deactivate the previous owners account on their end, but their support team says they are unable to. How can a modern home security system not have this capability? I know I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue, and wondering if anyone has figured out a way around this? Otherwise I have a $1,000 plus dollar useless security system...

This has been Google Nest's practice for years. The previous owner did you a disservice.

Unplugging your cameras for 48 hours may not be enough if they are 1st gen Google Nest cameras and doorbells set up in the Google Nest app:

But I suppose unplugging for 48 hours is worth a try. For the cameras that are hard-wired through your brick wall, they still have to be plugged in somewhere inside your house, unless the previous owner removed the plugs and then hard-wired the wires somewhere.  Even then, you could find the adapter that is midway on the power cord and unplug it. (The cords for some of our cameras feed through our garage wall and are plugged in inside the garage.)  See the install video here for what's involved:

For the doorbell, you could dismount it and disconnect the wires.
