Routine does not start

when starting a routines via the play button in google home nothing happens. When typing via google assistant it works ( apart from the radio that start playing no the phone instead of the nest speaker.  )  when asking to start a routine ( ok google start working )   nothing happens. Seems like routines are not working in google home.

Also feedback from light bulbs ( on / off ) seems to be wrong 50% of the time ...  😞   )

Same for me. No routines that I have setup starts running on their set scheduled times. Havent done so for the last 2 days.

Sometimes the routines run ans sometimes they do not making it hard to trust them.

I started them manually via google assistant like I wrote. 
are there other possibilities to troubleshoot ?

Sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this, I'm sure it might be annoying. There are some troubleshooting steps that you can try.

That page has two teoubleshooting articles. One is if you cant find the routines and one is about languages.

 

This does bot apply to my problems. 
My routines does not start all the time like this morning for example no routines started. Yesterday one of the two morni g eoutines started but used month old settings turning on lamps that are not longer part of the routine. 

The routines are very unstable as a service.

 

How does it technically work? Were are my routines stored and from were are they triggered? Locally sent to the device that I choose when creating the routine or from a cloud service?

 

I have also had delwtwd routines start and active routines not start. Its a mess.

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having issues with this. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app? Have you tried to delete the routines completely and re creating the routine?

Hey there, 
The routines are being stored within the app, so I guess you could say in a cloud. But they are activated when you set up the routine within the app and based on whatever action or rule you have them set up with.

Within my app? And they are triggered from my phone? Still trying to understand why some of my routines start sometimes and not other times and why one routine turns on one light that I changed weeks ago not to turn on.

Hey there, 

I'm not sure why certain specific routines are working the way that you want them to, while others are not. If routines are not working correctly, the best thing to do would be to delete the routine and create a new one. You can also try to delete the entire household and create a new household if certain devices are not working correctly.

Hmm seems like you cannot trust it. This and many more bugs make the whole google thing a 'looks nice' but too many bugs make it frustrating to use. This is not the only bug. There are so many more.

Well. Still not sure how the routines work. Someone said ”in my app so basically the cloud” but I still havent figured out were they are triggered from and were an updated routine can get stuck and still run the old one even though me and rest of the family can see the routine being updated in the app. Still cant fully trust them to run and tell my kid to take meds etc. 

But feel free to close this thread. Dont think I will get much more info on gow it works so I can troubleshoot what to do when they do kot run or not get updated correct.
