My indoor temperature on the Nest E is stuck at 80 degrees. Is there a way to reset it?

Hello carguy1949,

Thanks for posting in the Community.

I’d suggest restarting the Nest Thermostat E first before performing a reset. When you restart your thermostat, it maintains all your settings, similar to restarting a computer or phone. This is a useful troubleshooting step if your thermostat is stuck or frozen, has trouble connecting to the internet, or is not working normally.

On the other hand, if you reset the thermostat, this erases some or all of its information, depending on the option you choose. The thermostat will restore its factory default settings. This is useful if you’re moving out and need to install your thermostat in a new location, or if you want to leave your thermostat behind and want to remove all your personal information.

You can check out this helpful guide on how to restart or reset a Nest thermostat.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,

Lance
