Using Nest Doorbell (battery) to ring at Sonos

Moderator edit: Subject updated for clarity and findability.

I have been trying to configure Google Home to have the doorbell ring on my Sonos loudspeakers, but the case I currently have with Google support says that the batteri version doesn’t support other speakers ???

This doesn’t sound correct in my ears.

Anyone have tried to make the doorbell ring at Sonos ?

I don't know whether that's possible or not. This is Google Nest's Help topic on "Visitor announcements":

All the best,

Well my incident to Google support was handed over to another technician and he just responded that the battery version doesn’t support the same function as the wired version.

As of now, it is not possible to use a Google Nest battery doorbell to ring on Sonos loudspeakers. The only way to make it work is to have a wired Nest doorbell, which can be connected to any Sonos speaker using the Google Home app.

Google has not yet released a way for the Nest battery doorbell to ring on Sonos speakers. They are working on it, but there is no ETA for when they will be able to do so. ☹️
