Wyze cameras not playing on Google home or Nest

We just set up our new Wyze Camera V3 and Google Nest. The wyze camera's work when we go into the wyze app but does not work on google home on my iphone or the google nest. I have tried resetting, un-linking/re-linking and factory reset and syncing devices as shown on the other threads and it still says camera unavailable, can't reach this camera. What else can I try so it will show the footage on google?

I bought all Wyze equipment because it "Works with Google".  I bought a Google Nest Hub Max for my living room and a Google Nest Hub for my bedroom.  I spent nearly $700 on this B.S. because they claimed it all worked together.  I have my doorbell cam that works most of the time on everything on the Google Home App.  It will take a while to pop up, and then it cuts in and out, but it does come on.  Most of the time.  On my Hubs or on my phone.  My Outfoor Cam V2, I think, will not.  It just spins the loading circle until it says "Can't Connect" and to retry.  It used to work about the same as my doorbell cam.  Now it does not and had not for at least 3 months.  I bought the Hubs for this exact reason.  To watch my camera feeds.  Everything else that it does was just a bonus.  I feel there was a lot of hopeful technology being pushed and advertised as "works" before it was actually known that it does not.  With all of the people on here, it does seem like Wyze or Google may find themselves in a very actionable position.  Of the Class variety.  I'm sure that I'm not the only one that feels that this is obviously an issue that needs to be addressed by Wyze because we have invested in their product to do what they said it did.  If anyone finds a fix, please let us all know.  As a side note, everything works great in the Wyze app.  No issues at all.  But, I bought the Hubs to be able to watch them as Wyze stated was a capability.  It's not on Google to make sure that everything works.  There are far too many things out there that claim compatibility.  Google provides the framework and the source code.  Wyze needs to make this right.

Why is Google seemingly blocking streaming on iPhone & iPad? Is it that they are Android first? A few months ago, Wyze identified in the Wyze Forum that Google was aware of this issue and was working on fixing it. How long does it take a $Trillion business to fix a configuration issue for the iPhone & iPad when they know how it works on Android?
Google states that it streams for many other cameras other than their Nest cams.
DO any of these other non Google Cameras stream on iPhone & iPad Google Home app?

anybody?

I have the same problem with my 3 wyze cams:

  • Does NOT work on Google Home app on iPhone
  • Works fine on Google Home app on android

This is definitely a google home app on iPhone issue so i would think Google needs to fix this

Same issue with Wyze og camera connection to gh app. Unable to reach error. Hey Google nest and Wyze get your act together and get an update out to fix this. It’s been too long since this error was documented.

Really hoping they’ll figure something out for iOS users.

Wyze has talked with Google. Google is working on this.

I have the same issue.  This is a google issue. False advertising. I plan on submitting a formal complaint to BBB, and Google.

I think Google doesn't want to run wyze v3 camera because they will prefer you to purchase a Nest Camera. Plain and simple.

DO any other "works with Google" non Nest cameras stream on Google Home app for iPhone & iPad?

I have had this issue constantly with Wyze cam v3. Purchased an echo show to view live feed and it didn’t work, purchased a Google nest hub to view live feed and it didn’t work. Amazon and Google both says it’s a firmware issue with Wyze. Wyze said it’s not their firmware despite what Google says. I’ve learned Roku has a similar camera in fact they look exactly the same. And it says it’s integratabtle with Google nest hub. I am waiting for this to arrive so I can test them and will update my findings when I can.

I'm having this exact same issue with my Wyze v2 on Google home for Android and Web.

Works fine working the Wyze app. Hopefully this is a bug and they fix it. Most of my cameras are Nest but I do have a couple of Wyze that used to work just fine on Google home.

I've read a ton of these posts, and i cant even link the two together, let alone get to the step of viewing the camera on my google home. Ever time i try and link accounts i get a technical error code. Glad im realizing im not the only one experiencing issues.

Don't waste your time. Either Google or Wyze are playing games with all of us. They promote their products with false capabilities and they don't respond to any complaints. Simply, blaming each other. People need to start thinking of class actions remedies. Probably that will get their attention.

Does anyone here know
if  any "Works with Google" Cams from other providers
video stream on Google Home app for iPhone & iPad?

Google Chromecast for TV(4K) works with Wyze cams ... but not iOS

Any updates on this?

Wyze developers have no interest in resolving this. They are content with Android so consider other options

Strange response.
i completely disagree. Many are asking for this streaming to be fixed.

So i bought mine recently from home depot and its also is a V3, new V4s are gonna be in stock soon but i doubt they will connect either. ill be returning mine tomorrow if it doesn't show me something other than "Wyze-Cam"

Has anyone tried subscribing to the 2$ monthly service??

Been a few days and still not showing what i want. I'm going to admit defeat and return it.

Yes, that worked. They didnt metiont at all that you require a subscription... anyway

subscription to what for $2? 🤔😀

I did, it didn't help me to get the feeds in my google home app on iOS.

My V4 camera works on the google home display but not the google home iOS app.

Google is such a scummy company, the never support their products. They sell them to suckers like us and abandon them within a year. And their "AI" servicebots are worse than useless.

I recently bought a Waze V4 camera to try out. I loved the resolution, the looks, was of installation, etc. But when I added it to Google Home, I got the same as every one else here. The Waze is 25 feet from a Nest and looks great on the Waze app but Google Home cannot connect.  If I can't solve this soon, I need to return within the 30 day window.

Having been with Wyze and Android and iOS for years, I can testify that it only works completely with Google Home and Android. iOS will not load the video. Who isn't doing their job to make this happen I think is still up for debate, but it simply doesn't work on iOS. Android is fine.

Where are the Community Specialists for this topic. does anyone see them online??? Can we tag them?  This works on Android

Google has clearly given up on their smart home platform. They only care about $ from advertising. Hit them where it hurts use another search engine like Brave or Duck for screwing us over again.
