Cannot connect Nest Cam (indoor, wired) to my Nest app

I had my Dropcom replaced by Google and they sent me a Nest Cam (indoor, wired). I don't like the fact that it connects to Google Home only. I want it to connect to the Nest app, which is far superior to the Home app.

The Google Home app is hot garbage and people know it. There's absolutely NO REASON for this new Nest Cam to not work on the existing Nest app. Google, make it happen.

We discovered the same thing when we bought a Google Nest Battery Camera and plugged it in with the optional power cable in Sept. 2021 because Google Nest discontinued the Google Nest Outdoor Camera that same month. We are STILL using two apps.
