Connect Nest Cam Indoor Wired to existing Nest Aware subscription

Jeff57

As from 2018 I have 1 Nest Aware subscription with 1 Indoor Nest camera's.

As from 2020 this subscribtion has been migrated to the new subscription now using 2 Indoor Nest camera's

I'm using the Nest app and the Windows Nest web version.

In 2024 I bought a new (wired) indoor Nest camera.

1) How can I add this 2024 camera to my existing Nest aware subscription?

2) Can I see all the 3 camera's in 1 application? In the Nest app I only see the 2 older camera's, not the 2024 camera.

Thank you.

@Jeff57

If, in 2020 you migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account and purchased a 2nd gen "Nest Aware" or "Nest Aware Plus" subscription (available since 2019), those subscriptions cover ALL Google Nest cameras and doorbells in the same Google Nest "home/structure".

You can continue to access your two 1st gen Indoor Nest Camera and its history in the Google Nest app or on the home.nest.com website.

Your new 2nd gen Indoor Nest Camera and its history are accessed only through the Google Home app and on the home.google.com website and cannot be accessed through the Google Nest app.

However, if you want to, you can enroll in the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Outdoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in...). In that version, you can then "transfer" your 1st gen Indoor Nest Camera to that version of the Google Home app, but you will lose the Nest app functions itemized here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/13038234#zippy=%2Cnest-app-only-features.

We have both 1st gen and 2nd gen cameras and doorbells and are NOT using the beta "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app because it is still missing so many Nest app functions.

Hi, it doesn't look like my new 2nd gen Indoor Nest Camera is added to my existing subscription. I can see the pictures in the Home app but no information is saved.

@Jeff57

Is your new 2nd gen Nest Camera in the same Google Nest "home/structure" as your subscription?  If you go to the Subscription Management page (https://store.google.com/subscriptions) and click on your subscription, the name of your "home/structure" is displayed.

In the Google Home app, are all of your cameras in the same Google Nest "home/structure"?

My new 2nd gen Nest Camera is not in the same Google Nest "home/structure" as my subscription.

I can see all my 3 camera's but in different 'locations'.

@Jeff57

Well, a Nest Aware subscription applies to only one Google Nest "home/structure".  Can you move your cameras to the same "home" as your subscription?

Understood, however I'm not so keen moving my camera's right now. Will move camera's later this month as I encountered some problems when I tried to move them earlier. .

@Jeff57

I understand. Too many customers have issues when they remove and then reinstall cameras.

It's also apparently possible to move a subscription to a different "home/structure", though I haven't done it. See the post from Google Nest Community Specialist @pereztzum  on this thread:
