Please please say I can get my video from September 19-21, 2022

I watched the video and couldn't save it from this day on a particular camera in my home. I want that film so bad ... You can't even begin to imagine why ...

Please say I can retrieve it since it's only a few days beyond the 60 days.

@Breesebbusy

If your subscription goes for 60 days, there is no way to access history beyond 60 days. The only way there could be is if Google Nest were improperly keeping history beyond 60 days without your permission.

Hey there,

If you don't have further questions or concerns. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will be locking this in 24 hours if we won't hear back from you again. Feel free to start a new thread and we'll be happy to help.

Thanks for the help here, MplsCustomer and Emerson.

Best,

JT

Hello everyone,

@Breesebbusy I understand your concern about saving your recorded events and I'd like to know more about this to help you out. To confirm, do you have an existing Nest Aware subscription? If so, what type is it? All Google Nest cameras and doorbells can upload and securely save video in the cloud, where it's protected from theft and damage. To offer backup video storage when they go offline, the Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell (battery) can continue to record and save events to their internal memory, and then upload the video to the cloud when they reconnect to the Nest service. Hit this link for more information.

Thanks for answering, MplsCustomer.

Regards,
Emerson

Yes, I have a Nest Aware subscription. I pay an annual fee. The camera is the Nest cam for indoor use.

I read the file you linked in your message. "But for your camera to upload video to the cloud, it needs to be connected to Wi-Fi and the Nest service" - my wireless camera network is hooked up like this...
I don't know if I have this - "With 24/7 Video History, your camera saves all footage to the cloud anytime it's connected to power and streaming video."

Should I turn the camera I need the footage from off for it to hold on to the date of footage I want?

Hello Breesebbusy,

Thanks for getting back to us. You'll know which type of Nest Aware you have here. However, with regards to your concern about retrieving your video history way past the 60 days, it can't be retrieved anymore. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Regards,
Emerson

Oh no, but okay. I guess I shouldn't have it then.

Hi Breesebbusy,

I know how important it is for you to retrieve the recordings, but that's how the Nest camera store the history and how the Nest Aware works. Let us know if you have more questions in mind.

Best,

Emerson
