Buying a Nest Protect...

I have a Homey system and google Home / Assistant. Google nest protect checks off all of the check boxes except the most important one --> inter-connectivity. Where is the API so other systems can connect to the fire alarm and make changes to my house automation in case of an emergency. I was planning on purchasing 8 google nest protect. But after finding there is ZERO inter-connectivity, well then there is Zero chance of a purchase. Chinese are beginning to pass us in tech…..
