Hello,
I purchased a battery-powered 2nd Generation Nest Protect on February 18th, 2022. Yesterday afternoon the smoke sensor failed and was beeping intermittently. The app said that it could need to be cleaned. I used a can of compressed air to try to clean out the sensor and restarted it - it failed immediately. I am writing in compliance of the Limited Warranty listed on the Nest website included below. Please advise.

Before making a claim under this Limited Warranty, the owner of the Product must (a) visit nest.com/choose-your-country/support during the Warranty Period to provide notice of your warranty claim and describe the alleged failure, and (b) comply with Nest Labs’ (or its authorized distributor's) return shipping instructions.
