Replacing a 1st Generation Nest Protect

GurvM

I have an old 1st gen wired Nest Protect I'm looking to replace with a 2nd gen.

I can't see an easy way to remove the old wires from the push-in connectors that were installed with the old 1st gen protect. Does anyone know how to remove the old push in connectors easily please?

I notice the new ones are definitely a bit more maintenance friendly and have push buttons to disconnect mains wiring from them.

Hey there,
Sorry for the late response, but I wanted to drop in here to help.

I understand that these issues can be confusing but I definitely wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Just wanted to double check to see if you were still needing help on this? If so, what steps have you tried?

Please let me know.

Best regards,
Garrett DS
