Wired Nest Protect - no green dot on 2nd alarm

Nest wired smoke and carbon power problem.

I've two 230v nest smoke and carbon alarms. Only one is showing the green power dot. The second is wired correctly and there's power in the cables, all brand new cables and alarms. The plug into the second alarm is correct.

I have powered offthe circuit and on again. I have turned off the WiFi and on again. Still the green dot on the 2nd alarm doesn't come on. The green dot appears on the 1st alarm no problem. I have even tried a 3rd alarm but same result. The alarms are linked to my Nest app.

Any ideas?
