0% humidity sensor

Hello!

Recently I bought this  3rd Generation Learning Thermostat and in the first moment I finished doing the setup settings I saw that the Humidity sensor was showing 0%.

My question is: "Why this sensor is not working? What are the known issues related?"

Thank you!

Hi gxg,

Yikes! Let's see what's going on. A few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • When was the thermostat installed?
  • Where did you install your thermostat? In a room and on a wall or stand?
  • Do you have other active Nest Thermostat? If yes, do they show the same issue?
  • When did the issue start?
  • How big is the difference between the readout of the Nest Thermostat and your thermometer or other thermostats?
  • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes, would you mind listing them?

Also, give these steps a try:

  1. Go to Settings > Technical Info > Network then check for the Signal strength value.
  2. Remove the thermostat display from its base for about 5 seconds.
  3. Reattach the display.
  4. Wait for 10 seconds.
  5. Check if the humidity readout updates to normal.

Keep us posted.

Best,

Hello!

I've done it but it's not working.

I've talked with the retailer and he changed my base unit and it's working now.

Google Support didn't want to help me at all, they told me that they don't have support for Romania, so it's a bad thing that we buy things from Google but when a problem occurs they "wash their hands" due to some rules that they don't make it clear from the beginning, otherwise their devices will not be bought from these countries(which they don't have "support" to change, to solve, to do everything that's fair)...even though Romanian "RON" it's not good enough? Why only countries like Germany, Spain, and others are on the white list and we are not taken into account? I am very upset because if the retailer didn't want to change this base unit because it's a manufacturing issue(he could call it that), Google also didn't change my unit and the only one that has to suffer on this it's me, myself, and I.

Be aware lads, these guys( from Google) don't have "support" in certain countries or at least this is what they told me. Good luck, tho!

Thank you!
