Anyone know about the ''Support for Works with Nest ending''

Just found this page on the Google site, does anyone know about it?

https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9293712

What exactly does this mean, a closure of the GOOD Nest app, and forced to use the Google app?

No it does NOT mean support for the Google Nest app ended on Sept. 29, 2023. We are still using the Google Nest app in our home for our older cameras and doorbells.

"Works with Nest" was a way for allowing third-party devices to access and control our Nest products. We have never needed to use it.

You can use the "Works with Google Home" capability to get devices like Amazon's Alexa to work with Nest devices. We don't use that either, but there is some information about that in the link you shared.

Discontinuing "Works with Nest" is part of the following announcement:

Not sure really, just wanted to know if the GOOD Nest app will still be working in the future.

The Google app I find not so good.

@Frustratedddd

We have been Google Nest customers since 2019, and are hoping that the good Google Nest app is NOT phased out until Google Nest  app functionality is migrated to the Google Home app.  (We can hope, can't we?)

Google Nest is just now getting ready to let customers try migrating specific cameras from the Google Nest app to the "Public Preview" version of the Google Home app (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Blog/Nest-Cam-Indoor-1st-gen-expanded-support-rolling-out-in-...). We're going to wait, because we also have Google Nest Outdoor Cameras and Nest Hello Doorbells.
