Couldn’t connect it to Wi-Fi

I just moved in to my new leasing apartment and trying to connect the thermostat to my app. It says “Wi-Fi error nest.com/w5”

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this. When did the issue start? Also, have you tried any troubleshooting steps? If you haven't yet, please try restarting your Nest Thermostat by doing the following steps:

 

  1. Press on the thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Reset.
  4. Select Restart.
  5. After your thermostat restarts, you can try to reconnect it to Wi-Fi. On your thermostat, go to Settings > Network and select the name of your Wi-Fi network.
