Does Nest Learning Thermostat work with Google Home?

I have two heating zones in my home. In one zone I already installed the "Nest Thermostat", which requires the Google Home app to set up and control.

In the second zone, I want to install a "Nest Learning Thermostat". The instruction card in the box says: "Use the Nest app to start setup". I thought all of Google's products would be using Google Home.

Can any "Nest Learning Thermostat" owners confirm if you must use the Nest app to setup + control this model? I don't want to run two apps. I'm hoping the instruction card is just out of date, and I can set up and control the "Nest Learning Thermostat" with the Google Home app.

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry for the delay. The Nest Learning Thermostat and Thermostat E can only be set up using the Nest app. The Nest Thermostat 2020 can only be set up using the Google Home app. But no worries, once you successfully set up your Nest Learning Thermostat in the Nest app using the same credentials you're using for your Google Home app, the Nest Learning Thermostat will be visible in your Google Home app account, and you will be able to control your devices using one application.
