Google Nest Hub 2nd gen not showing temperature

Areis30

Hello,

So, I recently bought a Nest Hub 2nd gen and from what I saw so far online, it should indicate the rool temperature in the Sleep Sensing function, but it's always showing "0 ºC". It's not showing the temperature on the device itself nor in the Google Fit app (not sure if it should).

I've searched a bit and I couldn't find anything on this specific type of "error", so I'm not sure if it's a bug, a defect or if there's something that needs to be enabled for this to work.

Does anybody know what could be done or if it's a malfunction of the temperature sensor?

Thanks in advance

I wish I knew the answer. My sleep reports all show 100° which is also not accurate

Hi everyone,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Let’s further look into it. Kindly provide me with the following information:

  • Check the Cast Firmware/Fuchsia version. Swipe up from the bottom of the display > Settings > Device information.
  • Verify if you can see the room temperature details on the display > Your morning > Your sleep > Swipe to Quality.

Regards,

Alex

Hello Areis30,

Thanks for the information.

Let’s try to do some troubleshooting steps on your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen device.

  • Open the Google Home app > Devices > Tap your Google Google Nest Hub 2nd gen.
  • Tap Settings at the top right > Remove device > Remove.
  • Unplug your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen from the power outlet for a minute > Plug back in.
  • Go back to the Google Home app > Devices > Scroll down to Other cast/Local devices > Tap your Google Nest Hub 2nd gen > Add to a room.
  • Toggle Sleep sensing and Motion sense off and on.

@PurdyGirl, kindly let us know of the answer from the previous reply, and try these steps.

Warmly,
Alex

Hello,

Sorry, I thought I had already replied to this.

So, here's de Fuchsia Version: 11.20230306.3.112014

Software version: 52.94.19.536300690

Chromcast firmware: 1.69.362882

Some time ago, it started showing a temperature. Now, Instead of showing 0 ºC, which was the case during the first few weeks I used this device, it now shows 40 ºC, which is completely incorrect.

According to another termostat, the temperature in that room has been around 24 ºC - 26 ºC during these days.

If there's any other information you need, please let me know.

Thank you and best regards
