Yes, your current thermostat is compatible with the Nest 3rd Gen Learning Thmerostat.
Give this wiring a try.
Orange - RC to Rc (jumper to RH not needed)
Green - G to G
Blue - Y to Y1
White - W to W1
You might have some problems with the cable that was used. The terminals on the base don't always grab the thin wires from a data cable.

how can i tell you which gen of the learning thermostat that i have?
also i seen your replys on here to many others. I greatly appreciate you being the one to comment back and let alone give me a wire configuration to try. Thank you so much.
