How do I connect to my nest thermostat without taking it off the wall to find the code? 

I want to connect my phone to the thermostat in the Google home app, however the code is on the back of the thermostat, I don't know what the code was, but I don't want to unscrew from the wall to find it.

You are going to have to remove it from the wall. There is no other way.

The front display can be easily removed by firmly grabbing the side and pulling straight out.
