Lock icon for nest thermostate

Hello, I have a new Nest thermostat and I am trying to lock the device. I've read the Google articles on how to do it but on my Google home app there is no lock setting. Nor is there one on the app. If anyone has any solutions it would be extremely helpful.

Thank you.

In the Google Home app, choose the settings wheel, choose  thermostat under Device Features, then you will see the lock feature. Choose a 4-digit lock PIN, then set the temperature range for lock,,and set it.

this is all so much easier to do if you’re using the Nest app and not the Google app.

Yes, there is no option for a lock on the Google home app.

Hi Das1593,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The lock feature is available for the Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat only. Check this link to know what thermostat you have.

Best,

Mel
