I installed my Nest thermostat last fall but now I get the message 'Low Battery Replace Now'. I removed my Nest and replaced the 2 AAA batteries but I still get the same message (FYI, I have a C-wire connected and properly installed).
I read some of the posts and came across doing a factory reset. I removed my Nest Thermostat in the Home App and then proceeded to do the factory reset. However, I cannot complete the installation because the app is telling me that I have to replace the batteries. Do I need a new Nest Thermostat? Help!!!

I was just having the exact same issue, I removed the batteries, cleaned the contacts on the unit and the batteries and it worked.

It worked! I was beginning to think that the internal battery is bad or the thermostat itself was bad,
Thank you so much!

I'm glad to see Stevie1's answer was able to resolve your issue! In that case, did you have any other questions or concerns we can address?
Best regards,
