Hi all,
I have 3rd generation nest thermostat. Lately my electric bill is coming very high even though we are not running the Air conditioner that much. I have enabled ECO mode. I generally set my thermostat to 80.
The purpose of this post is to learn if I need to make any changes in the settings on the App?
Please help!
Thanks,
Sam

if you have just reset the thermostat, it needs to learn the new routine.
im UK based, so the following advice may not work:
within the settings, there could be a settings on your app called "True Radiant", you can turn this down to "1 hour" this in the UK actually by default turns the nest device on 5 hours early (for heat) by default.

Hello folks,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum.
I appreciate your input, @RnAElec.
@sshah1001, to better understand the reason behind your utility bill with the Nest Thermostat. Could you tell us for how long you have been using it? Please share with us a screenshot of your energy history. What type of HVAC system do you have? Is this a Heat Pump with Auxiliary heat? Also, from what country are you posting?
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark

Do we get any discount or credit from electricity company for using nest thermostats. How do we go about it,

Hello Monii99,
Interesting! The easiest way to receive a discounted Nest product or rebate is through an energy partner.Nest has partnered with many major electric and/or gas utilities. Through these partnerships, customers can sign up and receive a discounted, or sometimes complimentary, Nest product.
Rush Hour Rewards enables users to get rewards for reducing their energy use during periods of high demand while maintaining comfort. The Nest Thermostat automatically adjusts temperatures before and during Rush Hour to save energy and cut grid expenses. You don't need to remember to turn down the heat or worry about when the next Rush Hour will be because the Rush Hour Rewards program does it for them. Users can easily adjust their thermostat's temperature if they ever feel uncomfortable.
Here's an article to learn more about the Rush Hour Rewards. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks,
Mark
