My Nest keeps adjusting the temperature with auto schedule off

I am about to remove this thermostat and get just a normal one. I have the setting set to Heat / Cool and set the temp range to 68 - 75. I am at home and it seems warm, but then the heat comes on so I check the thermostat and it says the current temp is 69 and the range is now set to 70 - 73. I adjust it back to 68 - 75 and later the same thing happens. I have rarely set the temp to heat at 70. This is NOT more efficient or eco friendly. It is running up my gas and electricity costs. How do I fix this without using a hammer on it against the concrete?
