Nest Learning Thermostat 3rd gen does not see wi fi networks

My Nest Learning Thermostat was working fine till the end of May.

Suddenly it cannot connect to a wi fi (and is actually unable to find any networks at all). connects to wi fi right after restart (and sees other networks). But after some time it disconnects from wi fi and cannot find any networks.

Tried:

1. Restarting thermostat

2. Restarting router

3. Changing router

4. Factory resetting thermostat

No luck.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello RbBender,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue reconnecting your Nest Thermostat to the Wi-Fi network, and I appreciate all the steps you've taken. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

Are you getting any message codes in the network settings? What's the message? Also, could you give these steps a whirl?

  1. On your thermostat. Go to Settings > Reset > Account Connection > Reset to confirm.
  2. Turn on the mobile hotspot network.
  3. Once the thermostat is ready, go back to the Network settings to see if networks will be available, including the hotspot.

Let me know how it goes.

Regards,
Mark

Hey there,

I'm checking back in. Were you able to do the steps above? I'd be glad to hear from you — I'd like to make sure everything is working.

Regards,

Mark
