My Mom's Nest thermostat is not working. I took it off the wall and charged and it finally says the battery needs to recharge, and then it turns off and won't turn back on. I have taken it off the wall again and charged it, and a green light flashes, but when I connect it back to the wall, the same info quickly flashes, and then it turns off as soon as it is on the wall and won't turn back on.
I can't get in touch with customer support. I do not know what model she has, and it is starting to get hot in Texas, so I need help getting this resolved for her as there is no heat or cooling without this working.
Do I order a new one and hope it works? Will any NEST model work?
Do I have an HVAC company come to support me?
How in the heck can I get help so we can get her AC/Heat working again? This is ridiculous and dangerous for my elderly mother, and even after researching this for some time, I do not have a quick, easy solution for how I can get help and what to do.
Some real support from the Googe Nest team would be appreciated, as it shouldn't be this difficult.
