So my old phone, I am logged in, see three thermostats, all is well. I believe I am logged into Google on the Nest with my G suite account since I have no other gmail accounts. So, my old phone is logged in with my G suite account, but, when I try to log into the same G Suite account on my new phone, I get this error on my new phone:
"Choose another account. G Suite accounts can't be used with Nest. Use your personal Google Account instead."
At this point, I can't move to my new phone without Nest working, I am stuck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

I don't think you've ever been able to use a G Suite account for Google Nest products. Certainly all the posts in this forum indicate that.
See this post, for example:

There is this Google Nest tweet from 2020:

And there is this Google Nest Help topic:

Does your Android phone have any ability to look up the username and password you were using on your old phone to log into the Nest app with the "Sign in with Google" feature?

Hi folks,
Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, Google Home and Nest app no longer accept Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) accounts. To access all Google Home app features available in your country, link a personal Gmail account instead. If you don’t have one, create a new Google Account.
I appreciate the inputs, @MplsCustomer.
Best,
Jenelyn

But the Nest is currently working with either a non-google account associated or a Nest account, I need to figure which so I can move on to my new phone.
Kinda ridiculous that it is this difficult to do such a simple task in the year 2023.

It is ridiculous and I do not understand why they have a problem with using Nest services through a Google Workspace (Gsuite Account).

No official answer into why. They allow gsuite and workspace to purchase various products but not attach nest products to Google account

Still having the issue folks.

Is it possible you are trying to log into the Google Nest app on your new phone with a different email account than the one you are using to log into the Google Nest app on your old phone? That seems to be the only explanation for what’s happening. By the way, if you haven’t migrated your Nest Account to a Google Account, then I believe you can continue to log into the Google Nest app with a non-gmail account; so in your case, could this be a non-gmail account other than your G Suite account?

Hello everyone,
Google Workspace accounts are accounts set up by businesses or organizations to access different Google business productivity tools. At this time, you can't use a Google Workspace account because the account data is managed by your organization. You can try to sign in with a G Suite account, but whenever you try to create a home structure or pair a device on the Google Home app, you will encounter an error message since the data on the G Suite account is different from that on a regular gmail account.
@tjdabomb, Checking in — have you tried the steps provided by MplsCustomer on trying to sign in with a different email? If so, how did it go? Let me know if you need more help.
Thanks for the help, @MplsCustomer and @Jenelyn.
Best,
Edmond

Yes, I tried with the only other account that could have been used. I may just go to each next, de-program and re-program and be the end of it. ridiculous that this Nest/Google account issue exists.

"Google Workspace accounts are accounts set up by businesses or organizations to access different Google business productivity tools.". That is 100% false, at least in my case.
I have a personal Gmail Account that I used to signed up for a free GSuite account about a decade ago. This was so that I could use a custom domain for email. That free account has been migrated to and through Google many services, most recently Workspace, but it is NOT a business account and is 100% used for personal servicing of my family and myself.
That being said, Google has yet to figure out a way to differentiate between "free personal" users and "paid corporate/business" users and as such, continually drops the ball on allow my account to use and participate in various Google services.
I will not now, nor will I ever use a secondary "personal" gmail account to end-around this limitation because the whole point is to have visibility and integration using a single account logon.
Being forced to move my Nest account to a Google account and then telling me that I can't use my Google Account because it's a "GSuite" account is just the latest in a long line of fails over the past decade.
