The app says it’s offline, but when you go to the thermostat it says it’s connected. I tried restarting my phone, resetting the app and there is no new updates on the app. It still says offline. I can still control the temp through the thermostat, but not the app.

Hi Callie,

There is a notice on the Nest status page about the Nest app having a partial outage. https://status.nest.com/
This may be causing your issue as well. Are you able to see the thermostat online in the Google Home app or this just the Nest app?

I am having the same problem immediately after migrating my Nest account to Google Account.

Nest Thermostat says it's connected to my network and online. Google Home app is connected to the device and can control the basic settings. Nest App says the device is offline.

I am having this same issue currently. I migrated nest account to google. For ~12 hours after migration the thermostat showed offline in the google home app but online in the nest app. After the 12 hrs or so it became solely accessible via google home app or physically manipulatong it, and offline in the nest app. It's been 3 days now, and I still can't control my thermostat properly.

Is there any type of fix for this ?

Fixed It.. after migrating your Nest account to Google home. Do a hard reset on the thermostat, then re-add the thermostat to the nest app, once completed, the thermostat should be become available again within Google home.
