Thermostat comparable?

B wire is blue no c wire marked could that be the common? Old thermostat runs with no batteries

It is probably compatible with some Nest Thermostats.

Just to be sure do you know which of the two columns of letters applies to your HVAC system?  Usually the thermostat will read something like Conventional for one column and Heat Pump for the other. Which do you have?  On that thermostat it appears the only difference is the terminal the white wire is connected to could be W1 or O.

B could be common, but usually it is labeled C.  Send make and model of thermostat and/or a photo of the wiring diagram if you have the thermostat manual.

Once we know what the white and blue wires are use the Compatibility Checker to see which thermostats will work.

This is a gas furnace with ac condenser. No heat pump the thermostat is a Trane digital no apparent model number.

It looks like you have a basic conventional system and it is fully compatible with any of the Nest thermostats.

Give this a try

Red - RC to R (jumper to R not needed)

White - W1 to W

Yellow - Y to Y

Green - G to G

Blue - B to C

The "B" terminal is used by Trane and several other manufactures for the "C" terminal.
