I have a heat 1 and a heat 2 and the heat 2 starts and stops after a couple seconds and just repeats , I can’t turn the heat up more than 2 degrees before it goes into heat 2 mode and like I said it just keeps starting and stopping , but the wiring shows it was correct

Hi Natedog4213,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Nest Thermostat. I'd love to know more about this and I have a few questions:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • How is your Nest Thermostat wired?
  • What is the power reading of your Nest Thermostat?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

Edward

I have the 3rd generation learning and I it says there is power but not enough

Hi folks,

I wanted to stop by and see how I could help.

Thanks for assisting, Edward.

@Natedog4213, it appears that your system short cycles and switches to 2-stage heating to meet its demand due to a power issue. Let's sort this out.

To isolate: could you tell which wiring connection your thermostat has? Is this a first-time installation? Also, please check the power readouts from the thermostat settings under "technical info."

I'll wait for your response.

Best regards,

Mark
