When I set the heating schedule is the added marker the time the heating will come on or the temperature I want the house to be at that time?

Good luck,  We have a  nest thermostate at work, we have it programed to come on 1 hour before we come in to cool or heat the office.  It never comes on, only after we come in and then it turns on

@Guysimpkin, you could set your Google Nest thermostat temperature schedule and let your thermostat automatically adjust the temperature the way you set it. Sometimes, there may be a little bit of delay depending on how long your HVAC unit reaches the target. 

Thanks for sharing your insights here, Odori. There are factors why the Google Nest thermostat didn't activate your cooling or heating at your schedule. It can be that it is using the Home and Away routines or it has already learned the previous temperature changes. Could you try to set another temperature schedule and disable the learning feature? Let us know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I disabled the Home and Away function and now it works flawlessly.
