Timeline for fixing predefined temperature sensor time blocks?

gdav

Can google provide a timeline for fixing the issue of having fixed time blocks for the nest thermostat temperature sensors, and making it possible to set custom time blocks for when to use particular temperature sensors, rather than the preset/fixed times?

Morning: 7 AM to 11 AM
Midday: 11 AM to 4 PM
Evening: 4 PM to 9 PM
Night: 9 PM to 7 AM

It seems like this issue is brought up on this forum at least once a week, and yet nothing has been done in almost 4 years. There are posts all over the internet complaining about this poor functionality. Seems like a very simple fix to be able to make the time period customizable rather than fixed.

Has this issue actually been escalated to the google nest engineering team? There's no indication this has actually happened despite it being mentioned in several posts.

If there's no timeline for a fix to this, then I will be purchasing an ecobee instead, which allows for full customization of the timing for different temperature sensors.

Really disappointing to see google unwilling or unable to fix this issue that's been known for such a long time.
