I am trying to wire a nest thermostat with the old thermostat wires. The wires are as follows:

White   W2

Green    G

Brown    W

Blue        C

Yellow    Y

Red.       RC with jumper to R

where do these wires go in the new nest thermostat?

First check which model of thermostat you have:
How to tell which Nest thermostat you have - Google Nest Help

Nest Thermostat
For the Nest Thermostat model, use the Google Home app. The QR code and setup key are physically printed on the back of the thermostat. Follow these steps:

Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat
For Nest Thermostat E and Nest Learning Thermostat models, use the Nest app. The QR code and setup key are in the settings on the thermostat itself and are not printed on the device. Follow these steps:
Add your Nest thermostat to the Nest app - Google Nest Help

Nest Thermostats don't use jumper wires. Don't connect more than 1 wire to a terminal in Nest Thermostat as that may damage the thermostat and/or your system. Using the correct app, don't enter the R wire when it asks which wires you have. The app will guide you as to what wires need to be connected where in Nest Thermostat.
