Wiring nest

So this is my nest wiring. I know it’s correct because my landlord connected it up and it was working 100% when moved in and used it manually. Since I couldn’t get it work on my phone I had to remove and scan the QR code. There was a whole bunch of question regarding wiring and I tried to answer as best I could.  Now nothing works.

When you tried to install your app, must have redefined it as a Heat Pump when you performed a Reset. This is your mistake.  As I stated, you need to Reset ALL and start over.

@MacDude

When setting up the thermostat using the Google Home App, what wires did you select when it asked?

I suggest selecting these.

W/W1, G/G1, R, and C.

You have a heating only system. So, you did not perform the Nest Installation steps properly. Most apartment complexes do not typically like to allow the tenant to link the Nest Thermostat to the tenants’ apartment Nest account and App. Seems you tried to take control of the thermostat and now you have a brick on the wall.  You probably feel like you are in the tall weeds now.  The best thing you can do is contact the management company and ask them to come reset up the Nest Thermostat.

If you feel very adventurous, wake up your Nest Thermostat, go to SETTINGS > RESET > ALL SETTINGS. This return the nest thermostat back to its factory settings.  You must keep in mind however, if this nest thermostat is registered with nest already on a different Nest account, you will not be able to put it onto your Nest account until the other account releases it. The instructions I am giving you now. I will allow you to get the thermostat back to a functional state.

Once you once you select all settings, the nest thermostat will restart automatically. When it’s done, you will need to perform an installation process. Follow the instructions for the installation, and when it asks, respond with already installed. Don’t attempt to change any wires or anything like that. The wires are already connected. All you’re doing is adding the Nest account In all reality.

Thanks for that - its not an apartment complex, its a house and it was not configured to a google account yet, it was just installed by the owner - I have never changed the wiring, but sadly it asked about the wires (G/C/OB) - honestly I had no idea what I was doing (clearly) - but now I cant even get the fan to work.
