can't connect to app

I have tried connecting via the app and keep making it to the last part where it say finishing connection.  I get the TD009 error.  I have tried doing the factory reset on the device and restarting my phone.  I had previously successfully connected the thermostat to the app but disconnected when our internet was changed.

@Ken14 , if your home WiFi changed there was nothing you needed to but update the Network settings in the Nest Settings menu. The Nest configuration profile is loaded on the Google Nest Cloud and you need only have updated the network settings for the phone and the nest thermostat.  Your RESET just created a lot of unnecessary work for you.

Thanks, thats good to know for next time.  But now I am stuck at the last part of the setup, I keep getting the TD009 error

Thanks for posting and sorry to hear about this situation with setting up your Nest Thermostat. No worries, help's here! Here are some other steps to Troubleshoot connecting a Nest thermostat to the Nest app or Wi-Fi network.
