Ok uninstalled the upstairs nest (i know bad) and moved it. It worked perfectly on my old a/c furnace.
So my new a/c furnace is also a heat pump so a hybrid . So we have two a/c furnaces in home and I have two nests. I can see, access and schedule the bedrooms nest
So the upstairs nest works but can't access via my iphone, the app can't see this nest.
So go to Google home add device
I go through the set up procedure but when I scan the QR code it doesn't pick it up, so I continue without scanning and enter the set code.
But for some reason the Google Home can't find the Nest this way either.
So any suggestions?

Hi TGM,
Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm sorry to hear about the situation. Let's sort this out.
What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? Also, could you send a screenshot of what exactly appears on the app after attempting to add the thermostat to it? I'll look forward to your response.
Best,
Zoe

Well it is a gen 3 nest. However I was in chat with one of your people for an hour and I think I know what the problem is my new a/c-furnace are, The new unit is the following models
Furnace Lennox SL280UHV
A/C Lennox ML17XP1
So I can get all the way through the setup where it asks where the Nest is, i click kitchen and the app freezes up won't let me go any further. So I can't program it
So this is also a hybrid heat pump which is were the problem lies I believe
According to the chat person I need to hire a Nest Pro to hook it up correctly.
However I'm not sure the Nest can advantage of the heat pump function, basically getting heat out of the outside air down to 30 degrees before the gas furnace comes on.
So sadly it looks like I need to get a Lennox thermostat with external temp gauge to take advantage of the heat pump function.
I loved my Nest now I'm a little bit sad 😰

Ok tried this once before and got no answer so maybe I did something wrong with post.
The nest worked fine for 2 plus years in one location. Had to move it because of wiring issues to HVAC throwing error code.
So it was disconnected and moved and I deleted it from app (wrong thing to do). So now it is running the HVAC and connected to network but won't reload on the app. So followed the directions to get it on the app but the scan failed, couldn't find device. So then keyed in the code (do the letters/numbers really need to be that small) on the back of nest and same thing failed to find the device. The new HVAC is a hybrid neat pump but I don't think that is the isses
So I'm stumped on how to get this nest back on the app.
Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks for the help here, Zoe.
@TGM, we loved to hear you're keeping up with the Nest Thermostat, and I'm sorry for the trouble the installation and set-up brought you. But I'd be happy to shed some light on the situation here!
I know it's been awhile; how's it going? Have you managed to configure your Nest Thermostat successfully? You can share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring so we can see how it was labeled. Also, if you're using an iOS device for the setup and you can't finish the process, Open your phone's settings > Safari > Cross-Site Tracking and disable the settings that allow cross-site tracking.
Keep us posted if you need more help.
Regards,
Mark
