2.4 band is bad at my house. It is bad on both centurylink and xfinity. I usually disable 2.4 or have it on a separate network. How can I fix this with google nest.

Hello @KellyO
It sounds like there may be some source of interference in the 2.4GHz band. It's not possible to disable 2.4GHz on Google WiFi, nor is it possible to separate it out on a separate network. I would try to identify and eliminate the interference you're experiencing, which may be somewhat tedious. Lots of things use the 2.4GHz band, and even if they all follow the rules, they can still interfere with each other.
All of that said, if 2.4GHz has poor signal quality, any devices that support both bands should see that and connect to 5GHz instead if they can.

Hi, KellyO.
I just wanted to jump in real quickly to check to see if there's anything else you needed here and to see if we were able to answer your question. Thanks so much, MichaelP for the info on interference and for using the 5GHz band when possible. If there's anything else I can do here, please let me know.
Thanks
