Connection DROP : Firmware 14150.376.32

Have 3 nodes model GJ2CQ with firmware version 14150.372.32 and all the connections drop.

Tried all the fixes but only with a reboot the connection resumes to normal mbps.

I must reboot the system 2x 3x times a day. This is unacceptable.

Hi hugo_jose,

I have a few questions about your setup to help us narrow in on what might be going on.

  • Did these drops start from the time when you set your WiFi units up, or did they begin later?
  • Do the connections reset on their own if you don't restart?
  • You mentioned a return to normal Mbps, so is speed an issue alongside connection drops?
  • Is there any pattern to the drops, or do they tend to happen at random?
  • Do all points suffer a drop at the same time, or do they go one by one?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff:

I´ve noticed about 1 month after installation.

Even if i restart sometimes the connection stays capped.

Speed is capped at 90/92 mbps. Even after a few restarts it stays that way.

They all drop at the same time.

Thanks for the update, hugo_jose.

Can you check to see if IPv6 is enabled in your advanced networking settings of the Home app? If it's enabled, try disabling it and running a quick speed test to see if anything changes. If it's all the same, let me know and we'll go from there.

Thanks,
Jeff

IPv6 is disabled. Just made e new speedtest and the results are 93.4down || 89.4up.

Hi again hugo_jose,

Sorry for the late reply here. I did want to have you check one more thing. Do you happen to have any preferred activities set up in Google Home? If so, try disabling that and see if it affects anything with your speed tests.

Thanks,
Jeff
