Google Nest Error Messages

newbieinnest
Community Member

I hope everyone can add a TS guide on how to fix the following issues that we encounter in setting up a google nest for the very first time.

Here are the most noticeable error messages that I've encountered.

1. Problem connecting to cloud after scanning the QR code or after the WAN set up page (IOS user)

2. Check WAN connection (for the first time set up)

TS that has been done
**1. Reset Nest

    2. Uninstall/Reinstall app

Any basic TS or recommendation is highly appreciated. 🙂

Hi, newbieinnest.

Thanks for compiling some of the troubleshooting steps for this error. I have one more you can add to the list right away. If you're seeing this setup error, try placing all your points and router in the same room during setup. Sometimes with iOS, there is an issue with the points being separated during setup. Once setup is completely, however, you can move the points to where they will be used.

Thanks.
