Hi Rwhoke,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. Don’t worry, I’m here to assist you, please follow these troubleshooting steps to solve this situation, and let me know if it works:

  • Power cycle your devices:
  1. Unplug your modem, router, and Wifi point from the power outlet
  2. Wait at least 2 minutes
  3. Plug your modem back in and wait for its lights to settle down (usually solid green). Then, add your Nest Wifi router after a minute. Finally, plug in your Wifi point
  4. Once everything's restarted, open the Google Home app, close it completely, and then reopen it. Now, try running the mesh test again!
  • Check your Wifi point placement: Mesh points work best when they are within a good range of the router and each other. Make sure there are no walls or thick objects between your devices that could weaken the signal. You can try moving your Wifi point to a different location and see if that improves the mesh test results
  • Restart the Google Home app: Sometimes, the app itself can glitch. Close the Google Home app completely and then reopen it. Try running the mesh test again after the app has restarted, or uninstall and install the Google Home app

Here you can find an article about Mesh points or routers not working that may help you out.

Let me know how it goes,

Regards,

Daniel.

I often have this same problem and "mesh test" message.  I frequently find myself having to restart the entire network.  Sometimes it works in remedying the status.  Sometimes it doesn't and I end up just leaving it at that status because the internet is working.
