One of my Google Nest points was plugged into a standard GFCI outlet. There was no lost power in my home. Similar to other users, all of the points went offline last weekend and this one particular point lost power. It's not been able to power on since. I have tried plugging it into other outlets, as well as into the same power sources that are being used for my working points. Nothing comes on. It's now an expensive paper weight, and naturally, past the warranty. Customer support has not been very helpful - suggesting I try resetting the device (which doesn't do anything as it wasn't getting power to begin with). I really do not want to spend more money on a new Nest point, especially if life expectancy is only 23 months. Any ideas on resolution?

Sounds like it got fried. Insurance?

I certainly thought it got fried. In a last desperate attempt, I plugged it in and kept it plugged in. About 24 hours later it sprung back to life. Not sure how it resurrected itself
