There seems to be issue with one of my nest detect sensors. I have replaced it with Energizer Lithium Battery 123A and once with Panasonic batteries as recommended by Google. I have 4 sensors and only one sensor seems to be having this issue. I have replaced three times with new battery and only to see low battery issue recurring in 2 weeks time. Please advise

Hi there,

I apologize for my late response and thank you for all of your patience while waiting for a reply. I can definitely understand how frustrating your situation must be, but I wanted to make sure that your issue was addressed. I would make sure that you restart or Factory Reset your Nest Detects. You can learn how to do that here

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best Regards,

Brad.

Hello Brad, yes resetting was also one of the option tried by myself before posting for help in this community. Resetting and battery change(twice) are options I already tried.

Hey Brad,

Yes- restart was also tried. I had to reset and setup nest detector with new batteries. Same behavior after 2 months.
At this point, I decided to open a thread with Google specialist for setting up repair help.

@rasheelr

Do you have a support ticket open then? If that is the case, then I would suggest continuing to work with them on this issue. In the meantime, restart your Detect and try to Factory Reset.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Best regards,

Brad.

I have the Nest Detect on three doors but only one of them is draining the battery every 3 to 4 weeks. I have previously tried all the solutions listed in this string of messages at the time of replacing the batteries approximately three weeks ago. However, I just had to replace the battery on that Nest Detect again today. Is there a fix for this issue?
