Nest Yale Wont Connect

I recently changed my WiFi having issues getting my lock back online. So deleted it to re-add and I can not set it up I get the error T026(4060). I also noticed my lock no longer talks. The button will flash blue then green but never talks.

Hi brijodub,

Thanks for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear that and for the delayed response here. No worries, we’ll check this out — a few questions: what’s the status light of your Nest Connect? How far is your Nest x Yale Lock and Connect from the router? Are the batteries of your lock fresh and standard AA alkaline batteries? Also, what Wi-Fi frequency band do you try to connect to (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Take off the battery cover and remove the batteries from your lock. If you received a low battery alert, use a fresh set of standard AA batteries. Don't use rechargeable batteries with your lock.
  2. Put the batteries back in after 60 seconds. Wait a few minutes to check if your lock comes back online.
  3. Restart the Connect:
    • Plug Connect into a power outlet.
    • Hold down Connect’s button until the light pulses blue (about 10 seconds). Then release the button.
  4. Factory reset your Connect. Hold your Connect’s button for much longer than 8 seconds, the light will turn yellow, which means your Connect is preparing to factory reset. Keep holding down the button, when the light flashes yellow then goes off, release the button.
  5. Remove it from the Nest app. Then, add it back. The recommended router settings are the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency.
  6. Restart your modem or router, unplug it from the power outlet, wait for 1 to 2 minutes. Then, plug it back in.
  7. If all else fails, factory reset your lock.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

JT

Hey folks,

@janthadeus, appreciate your helpful response.
@brijodub, chiming in to ensure everything is good here. Have you had the chance to try the suggestion above? If yes, how is it?

Best,
Mel

Hi everyone,

Just one quick final check in here since activity has slowed down. We'll be locking the thread in the next 24 hours, but if you still need help, I would be happy to keep it open. If there's more we can do, just let me know.

Thanks,
Mel

I have tried all the above and no luck. It connects to the connect but when I go to press the button in the next step i do not hear a voice and no longer how long I hold the button I get an error that the door isnt “awake”.

Hey there,

I truly appreciate your efforts here. You can also give these steps a try:

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is on. Turn Bluetooth off, then back on to refresh the connection.
  2. Ensure that IPv6 is enabled on the access point. Test it here: Google's IPv6 test.
  3. Pair your connect to a 2.4 GHz WiFi frequency if it’s available in your WiFi network.
  4. Make sure your phone is on the same WiFi network as the selected network for the lock.
  5. It should not be connected to any Bluetooth devices.
  6. Cellular data should be turned off.
  7. On iOS devices with iOS 14 or later, ensure that Local Network Access is enabled for the Google Home app.
    1. On your iOS device's home screen, tap Settings.
    2. Tap Privacy > Local Network.
    3. On the list of apps, turn on Local Network Access for the Google Home app.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

JT
