Up until last week, I was able to stream audio from a Bluetooth device to my Google Home display and then send it to two other Google Nest Mini speakers, effectively having the audio playing everywhere.

Now this option is unavailable and I can only play it on one speaker, in this case the display hub as that is my central device.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Hello Dave Dangerfield,

Thanks for reaching out. Oh no! That sounds very frustrating to have a feature suddenly not work. I would be more than happy to look into this issue and find a solution. First, I have some questions to have a better understanding of this situation.:
  • Just wanted to double check, are the speakers currently in a speaker group together?
  • What were you using/doing to create this set up? Any apps?
  • Have you tried re-adding/deleting the speaker group?
  • Are you using the Google Home App? Do all of your devices show as connected?
  • Are you seeing any new error messages? What do they say?
  • Can you try to do a Factory Data Reset on the devices? Are there any improvements?
I look forward to your response, thanks.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've tried working through them all but still the same problem persists.

I'm currently using a Home Hub, a Nest Mini and a Nest speaker. Using the app to set up a speaker group.

Speaker group works absolutely fine with Apple Music, but once I connect to my Bluetooth device, it will only play on the hub, with no access to the normal group/group volume controls.

I've factory reset all devices, deleted speaker groups and recreated them, all with the same results.

I have exactly the same issue.

From my phone or my turntable I am streaming music to my Google Nest Hub Max which is himself link to a group of 2 google nest audio and select by default. But the sound is only played on the Google Nest Hub Max.

Hi Alex_,

Thanks for posting. Let's sort this out.

A few questions: what troubleshooting steps have you done so far? Just to confirm that you are trying to play music via bluetooth through the group speakers?

Keep me posted.

Regards,

Nikki

Hello, I did pair the bluetooth device directly to the pair of google nest audio to make it work. I didn't find the way to push the music throw all 3 speakers ( Google nest audio + Google Nest Hub Max ).
