Can't get podcasts to play since update

Since the update, I can't get podcasts to play or link with my Google Podcasts account.

I've tried "resume xx podcast" (which had no issues yesterday) and "play xx podcast", "resume xx podcast on Google podcasts" but nothing works and the reply is "I don't know, but I found these results on search".

I had no issues before the update! Help!

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing this with your Google Nest speakers. We'd love to check on this further by answering these questions:

 

  • Is it only happening when using Podcast?
  • What about other music service, do you get the same response?
  • What is the cast firmware version of your Google Nest speakers?

To check which firmware version you're on, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your mobile device or tablet is linked to the same account as your speaker or display.
  2. Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
  3. Touch and hold your device's tile.
  4. At the top right, tap Settings and then Device information.
  5. Under "Technical information," find Cast firmware: X.XXX.XXXXX.
