EZVIZ not connecting to Google Home

eddiejamesza
Community Member

Hi there,

When trying to connect my EZVIZ account to Google Home, it says that EZVIZ is unreachable.

My Google account shows EZVIZ under my linked accounts. I have removed and linked it a few times as well. The camera doesn't show as a device on Google Home.

I would appreciate any help.

Hey folks,

That certainly hasn't been easy for you, let's see what's going on.

A few questions: was it working before? Is it still working on its native app? Also, do you have other smart devices connected to your Google Home that's having the same issue?

Make sure your devices are within 15-20 feet of your router for better connection and connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Try rebooting your device and router to refresh the connection.

Keep us posted.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex, device is working fine on EZVIZ App. Other devices (Sonoff on Ewelink) all work fine with Google Home. EZVIZ is not connecting to Google Home.

Hello Azarco,

here are answers to your questions:

was it working before? YES

Is it still working on its native app? YES

Also, do you have other smart devices connected to your Google Home that's having the same issue? NO

It seems that it's a problem related to ezviz account. Tried with another ezviz account and it just works fine.

Thank you

Hey folks,

francarl77, thanks for that information.

If it's working using a different EZVIZ account, I highly suggest to contact EZVIZ support for additional information. Resetting your Google Home speaker might work too.

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex, I'm guessing that it is working with an account that has been connected with EZVIZ in the past. There is no connection at the moment.

Chiming in to ensure everything is covered here. To confirm, have you tried calling EZVIZ to check with them if they receive similar issues on their end?

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the delays. We appreciate the update. This looks like an issue with EZVIZ portal and need to check it on their end as they are the only one who have access to it. I forwarded this to the team, and I'll continue to monitor this thread to check for any additional users.

Cheers,

Hi.

I also have the same problem. Just added a third cam today, and tried to unlink my Ezviz account to get the third one in to the app. But after that Google says that "Ezviz is unreachable. Please try again". Hope someone has a solution..

Best regards

Anders

Hi, sorry for the inconvenience caused. We know about this issue and we're working hard to fix the same. Thanks!

Same issue, at the difference that I can't link to Google home : " could not reach ezviz please try again". Don't associate to the service...

Additional information : the camera's name doesn't  appear in the list when it prompts to select the devices you want use command (after prompted authorization).

I think that is where the coding problem is on the EZVIZ side. I don't think that step was in the initial setup some time ago.

Hi francarl77,

Excellent! I'm glad those steps worked for you. It looks like we can consider this one complete, so I will lock the thread shortly unless I can help out with anything else.

Cheers,

Muddi

I can verify this.

I added an ezviz doorbell to the app and it didn't appear in Google home.

I disconnected ezviz from Google home then tried to reconnect. There was never an option to select any devices to add.

Now it works again, I can successful add my devices to Google home.  Only a little problem left, my 2 cameras appear duplicated.

Thank you

Ludowik

Yes I can confirm the duplication, but now it's working !

haydor89

I can also confirm the duplication for one of my cameras, I also can confirm it is indeed working again! (Have also removed and added Ezviz account multiple times to see if it wasn't just a fluke).

Hey eddiejamesza,

Thanks for updating the thread. To confirm, do you also experience duplicate EZVIZ devices after the fix?

Cheers,

Muddi

Hi Muddi, no I don't.

But I didn't have it connected in the past, this was my first install. I did however have duplicates on Google Home with eWeLink, but that was because I connected eWeLink to Samsung's SmartThings after it was already connected to Google Home. I then connected SmartThings to Google Home and everything was duplicated after that. I then disconnected SmartThings from Google Home and problem was solved.

Hope it makes sense!
