Find my phone won't find my iphone

I cannot get my nest to find my iphone when I use the find my phone voice command. It says I need to turn on notifications in settings but they are on. It seems google home is not recognising the settings.

Thanks for reaching out. Is this a new phone? If so, could you go to your Google account settings and make sure that your device is updated? See the instructions below:
 

1. Go to https://goo.gle/3aFSuU8

2. Tap the profile account on the top right corner 

3. Choose library & devices 

4. Tap the devices 

5. Uncheck your old mobile phone and put a check on mark on the new phone.
